I'm not techy at all. Is this for me?
Yes, absolutely. Nutted Out is built for people who aren't techy. If you can send an email or a text, you can learn to use AI tools. We'll go at your pace.
What actually is AI, in plain English?
Tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot are chat assistants. You type a request in normal language, and they write a reply. They're great at drafting, summarising, brainstorming and explaining. They're not always right, so you stay in charge and check the important stuff.
Which AI tool should I use?
Any of the big ones is a fine place to start. If you use Google for email and docs, Gemini is handy. If you use Microsoft 365, try Copilot. ChatGPT and Claude are great all-rounders. See the getting started guide, or browse the use cases to see what each tool is good at.
Is it safe to put my business information into AI?
It depends what you share. General info is usually fine. Avoid pasting personal information about customers or staff, passwords, bank or IRD numbers. Check the tool's privacy settings, and remember the Privacy Act 2020 applies to how you handle personal information. We cover this in every session.
Will AI replace my staff?
That's not what Nutted Out is about. The aim is to take the boring, repetitive bits off people's plates so they can spend more time on customers and the work that matters.
Do I need to pay for AI tools?
Not to start. The free versions are great for learning. If you end up using it daily, a paid plan may be worth it, and we can help you decide.
Do you come to us?
Around Christchurch and Canterbury, yes, for sessions and workshops. Online sessions work well anywhere in New Zealand.
How much does it cost?
The intro chat is free. A 90-minute 1:1 session is $195, and Get set up (three 90-minute sessions) is $520. Team workshops and bigger setups are quoted once we know what you need. Nutted Out isn't GST registered, so there's nothing added on top, and you're invoiced after your session. Details on the Work with Duncan page.
Can you help with something specific, like my booking website or pricing?

What's with the name?
"Nut it out" is Kiwi slang for figuring something out. We nut out AI together, so you don't have to do it alone.
